Why is it important?
Our findings show that children born with Gastroschisis face long-term morbidities and impairments. We strongly recommend long term interdisciplinary Follow up for these children
Perspectives
Chidren with congenital anomalies are at risk for a number of long term problems and sequelae. We should not think that the surgical outcomes are the only parameter to take into account when reporting results. We show that a comprehensive, structured interdisciplinary Follow up program is a healthcare approach that should be warranted to these children and the ir families
