Why is it important?

This research was important because chidren and adolescents are widely exposed to the internet and we thought using this technology is a great way to increase the low physical activity. Hence, we searched for studies that have tried this.

Perspectives

The research showed that Internet delivered physical activity interventions are not necessarily successful in increase physical activity and exercise in children and adolescents. This was a surprising finding. I think we really need to look into how youth uses the Internet and then to design interventions accordingly. Using the Internet is hence not a quick fix.
