the article comment on the study about about the five variables that affect the incidence of conversion of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in to open cholecystectomy . it show how and why some of current believes and practices decreased risks of conversion including very early cholecystectomy before there is lot of infection ,and delayed operation when all infections has subsided ,in contrast operation at the peak of infection and obstruction carries higher risk of conversion .also shows why Endoscopic retrograde cholanlgiopancreatography in presence of stone at common bile duct reduce the risk of conversion . .
