Why is it important?

it is the high rate of pin worm in appendicitis of this age group is interesting but the problem is there no conclusive study with incidence of pin worm in normal population in this age group

Perspectives

children can present with symptoms of appendicitis that can be caused by pin worm, especially if they have minimal or no inflammatory marker. Preoperative and post-operative investigations may be warranted.
