Why is it important?

Lipedematous alopecia is a rare disease that can easily be misdiagnosed as alopecia areata. Moreover, palpation in the dermatological examination of patients with alopecia is very important.

Perspectives

Writing this case was a great pleasure as it is a very rare disease and I hope it can lead accurate diagnosis of real lipedematous alopecia.
