What is it about?
The aim of this study was to compare the clinical and histological responses of MTA and combined MTA/Treated Dentin Matrix (TDM) as direct pulp capping materials in healthy human teeth following partial pulpotomy.

Why is it important?
We found Partial pulpotomy using the combination of MTA/TDM as a bioactive pulp-dressing agent may stimulate the formation of a thicker dentin bridge compared to MTA alone. The overall clinical success rate between two groups was the same.
Perspectives
It may be seemed that the preparation of autogenous human TDM used in the present study can be an efficient approach to more successful vital pulp therapy treatments or dental pulp regenerative procedures.
