I showed that using the relation between abundances through freshwater communities could alert us before, or at lower levels, about the impacts of freshwater stressors.

Why is it important?
Early alerts of the impacts of environmental stressors on freshwater systems are fundamental for preserving them and their ecosystem services.
Perspectives
Predicting the impacts of environmental stressors such as pesticides is very difficult because nature is complex. Nevertheless, I believe that classical ecological methods are still powerful and should be enforced through ecotoxicological studies.
