Why is it important?

Using a graph based approach for understanding the connectivity, we combined the large scale landscape use of a jaguar with the local scale used by the government for land use planning. Keeping these jaguars connected to each other is crucial to the survival of this small population. The situation in several of the analyzed areas is critical and therefore it is fundamental to work together with other organizations and with the regional government to implement management strategies such as those that emerge from this work.
