What is it about?

Ultraviolet radiation (UV) is not only dangerous for unprotected human skin but also for animals and plants. To study and predict the impact of increasing UV-B doses on organisms a worldwide dataset about where and how much of this radiation hits the earth surface is needed. Here we provide and describe global gridded layers of UV-B radiation based on satellite measured data.
