What is it about?

This paper compares the performance of microsatellites and SNPs to detect structure and introgression of C-lineage ancestry in the dark honey bee (A.m. mellifera). Our results suggest that SNPs are more accurate and powerful than microsatellites for identification of A. m. mellifera colonies, especially when they are selected by information content.
