Why is it important?

Given its antioxidant and antiinflammatory activities, the S. marianum extract might be useful as an intraabdominal adhesion inhibitor. The S. marianum extract could inhibit intraabdominal adhesion through the inhibition of collagen production and accumulation, as well as complete lysis of fibrin caused by free-radical and proinflammatory factors.

Perspectives

This article is about the effect of "Silybum marianum" on intra-abdominal adhesion. It is the first one in this field and derived from my MD thesis. What is your feedback about it?
