What is it about?

Microbes and nanoparticles co-exist together everywhere on Earth. Microbes actively use nanoparticles to assist their metabolism, greatly increasing their impact to the surrounding environments

Why is it important?

The importance of microbe-nanoparticle interaction has been gaining interests in recent years. It is this smallest interaction, that is occurring everywhere on Earth, that has the potential to change the environment at a rapid pace

Perspectives

This is a pretty cool work that highlights many examples of beneficial interactions of microbes with natural nanoparticles. I hope that many environmental microbiologist will read this and be wowed by the resourcefulness of the microbial world.
