What is it about?

Following lung transplant return to full participation and employment is low. We explored why this is so and how these outcomes might be improved.

Why is it important?

Patients face social, psychological and structural barriers to return to work and full engagement in activities following lung transplant. This study suggests that support to plan and reengage in meaningful activity in the first 18 months after surgery will improve these outcomes.
