Why is it important?

This paper is important since health promotion and prevention are more and more needed with older adults in an ageing population. To improve practices, we must acknowledge that these interventions are limited and recognize the barriers that contribute to this limited practice. This will help take action in the field of community health to chance practices and enhance the health and well-being of populations.

Perspectives

This study is the first of a series in the field of community occupational therapy. Although there are several limitations due to the fact that it involved secondary data analysis, it showed us the way to begin a local transformation of the practices. Having this study published means a lot regarding the interest that we can have for health promotion and prevention.
