This article is about finding the best site for constructing a geomagnetic observatory in Kerman province, Iran. It's about geomagnetic observatories and factors may play a role in selecting a suitable site for constructing a geomagnetic observatory and the accuracy of the data will record there after constructing. We used AHP and Fuzzy method in GIS and TOPSIS in this article.

Why is it important?
In our work, a GIS-based procedure is followed to detect the most suitable region for constructing a geomagnetic observatory in Kerman Province, Iran. Eleven objective factors which may affect future operation of a geomagnetic observatory are defined. Logical technology was successfully adapted to our problem and seven suitable areas were detected using AHP and Fuzzy method. The areas were finally ranked by TOPSIS.
