Marine, seabed, and land seismic equipment for broadband acquisition: a review

As Sercel Chief Geophysicist (2002-2014), I was responsible for promoting new acquisition systems for high-productivity VibroSeis and single-sensor high-density 3D surveys. I have a special interest in low-frequency broadband recording and 3C MEMS accelerometers. Prior to joining Sercel I was Area Geophysicist for ARGAS (1997-2001), working for the Geophysical R&D Division of Saudi Aramco to perform depth-imaging projects. Previously (1989-1997), I was Head of CGG Seismic Imaging Group in France involved with gas monitoring, reservoir characterization and high-resolution, land seismic acquisition projects.
