Perspectives

This work is particularly important to understand why the auxin signaling/ transport mutants show increased resistance to 2,4-D compared with IAA. Here, we revealed that additional cellular factor, actin, which is regulated by novel protein SMAP and SCF TIR1 separates the response of IAA and 2,4-D. The selective herbicidal mechanism of 2,4-D is also possibly linked to this pathway.
