This article explores the resilience of islanders to climate change focusing on Samoan communities as case studies.

Why is it important?
The article shows islanders' experiences of climate change and their perceptions of future climate change are varied demonstrating how climate change is experienced differently by people. Samoans are adapting to such changes differently using multiple strategies that one can only see if the individual is assessed within local social networks.
