What is it about?

For a successful Hemodialysis session, patients should have a well-functioning vascular access. Arteriovenous fistula remains the preferred vascular access, but there is a risk of maturation failure in the early stages of its creation, and loss of function may also occur in the later stages of its creation. In our study, preoperative arteries can influence the maturation and patency of arteriovenous fistulas.

Why is it important?

Maturation and patency of arteriovenous fistulas seriously affect the quality of life and survival of hemodialysis patients. It is more of a socioeconomic burden. This study hopes to improve the status of hemodialysis patients while reducing the medical burden on society.

Perspectives

Problems with vascular access have been an ongoing issue for hemodialysis patients. We hope to improve the quality of life and survival of patients at the "starting point" during the preoperative evaluation phase.
