Why is it important?
The studied ophiolite-hosted manganese prospects are located in southeast of Birjand, South-Khorasan, east of Iran. The manganese ores within the ophiolitic sequence in this region occur as small discrete patches associated with radiolarian chert and shale.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to the studied ophiolite-hosted manganese prospects are located in southeast of Birjand, South-Khorasan, east of Iran.
