Macrophages and lymphocytes in the dog endometrium

What is it about?

Resident immune cells play a major role in endometrial immunity and in tissue homoeostasis. This study describe the pattern of resident macrophages, B and T lymphocytes in the canine endometrium throughout the oestrous cycle and in late involution (at the proestrus stage post‐parturition) by using an immunohistochemistry technique.

Why is it important?

In the absence of previous work, the localization of macrophages and B- and T- Lymphocytes will be helpfull to establish basic information for the interpretation of endometrial biopsies in dogs
