What is it about?
We have compared the cardiovascular system condition in young (mean age 24) healthy social and binge (heavy) drinkers and found negative shifts in the CVS parameters in binge drinkers only. The level of these shifts depended on drinking experience (how long the person was drinking). We found that blood vessels suffered in the first place.

Why is it important?
About 50% of American college students are binge drinkers. They have to know about the risks of their cardiovascular health problems.
Perspectives
We tested healthy people. Their mean binge drinking period was about 4 years. They do not sense health problems. Very important to define when and how the negative shifts become pathological.
