What is it about?
Alzheimer's disease is considered to be one of the most important global health and social crises. Alzheimer's disease, which is characterized by decreased daily activities and impaired cognitive abilities, is a neurodegenerative disease accompanied by neuropsychiatric symptoms and behavioral changes. Activity blanket can be used as a tool to enable people with Alzheimer's and dementia to use their hands and focus in their own homes or nursing homes and to alleviate their agitation.

Why is it important?
Alzheimer disease causes a decrease in individuals' cognitive functions and abilities to maintain daily life activities and poses a serious threat to the quality of life. There is no study examining the effect of the use of activity blanket on people with dementia in the literature. The Alzheimer's blanket program is very important because it is a self-administered program at home.
