Broad‐range metalloprotease profiling in plants uncovers immunity provided by defence‐related metalloenzyme

What is it about?

Plants produce a large diversity of metalloproteases with different cellular functions. Here, we introduce broad-range metalloprotease profiling in plants using hydroxamate-based photoaffinity probes and chemical proteomics. We use this to monitor many metalloproteases and discover a defense-related metalloenzyme providing immunity.
