What is it about?
Gas diffusion in fruit depends on the amount and connectivity of cells and intercellular spaces in 3-D. In this manuscript, we have combined contrast-enhanced µ-CT imaging with image analysis to investigate the morphology and distribution of cells and intercellular spaces of the fleshy tissues of tomato fruit during development and ripening.
