What is it about?

Plasmodesmata are narrow channels that connect the cytoplasms of adjacent cells, enabling the diffusion of many different molecules. In recent years, several studies have investigated how plasmodesmatal diffusion of the plant hormone auxin affects auxin distributions and auxin-regulated phenotypes. This review describes these studies and discusses potential future directions in this area.
