What is it about?
Bromeliads explore highly stressful habitats and mutualistic associations with fungi may play a crucial role. We show for the first time that the roots of bromeliads are associated with diverse mycorrhizal and non-mycorrhizal fungi and that the bromeliad ecology drive differently the fungal assemblages.
