What is it about?
This study demonstrated Mikania micrantha (an invasive vine) has higher competitiveness than cooccurring native vines, in part due to its higher plant N acquisition and soil N mineralization capacity. It was first found that the greater N availability of soils conditioned by M. micrantha, derived mainly from the AOA-mediated nitrification rather than BNF.
