What is it about?
Photosynthesis is limited by one of three potential processes; fixation of carbon dioxide, electron transport that is used to make energy and use of the end products of photosynthesis, termed triose phosphate utilization (TPU). We demonstrate that current representation of TPU in Earth system models is flawed and should be removed.
