What is it about?
Even though Amazonia trees are known as considerable CH4 sources, little is known about CH4 and especially N2O exchange of trees growing in volcanic tropical rain forests under non-flooded conditions. We show for the first time that such tree stems can act even as substantial sinks of atmospheric CH4 and N2O.
