Arabidopsis seedling establishment under waterlogging requires ABCG5‐mediated formation of a dense cuticle layer

What is it about?

Flooding is likely to become more frequent and intense due to climate change, seriously affecting the growth and yield of most crop plants. We show here that proper development of young plants under flooding requires the dense surface coating layer formed by ABCG5 transporter activity.
