Optimal leaf life strategies determine Vc,max dynamic during ontogeny

What is it about?

A simple mechanistic model is presented to describe changes in Vc,max with leaf age. We show that an optimal allocation principle can successfully reproduce observed patterns of Vc,max, and relationships with environmental factors.
