What is it about?
Most work of linking biodiversity to ecosystem function (BEF) used species diversity as the proxy of biodiversity, while within-species genetic diversity was rarely been considered. Our study adds important mechanistic insight on how within-species genetic richness and its potential effect on ecosystem functioning can increase the understanding of BEF relationships.
