What is it about?

This study sheds light to the critical role of the nodule C-sink to regulate photosynthesis of legumes, its magnitude and limitation imposed by drought under elevated [CO2]. Enhancing nodule sink capacity through selection or breeding is an important pathway to facilitate C gain and N2 fixation of legumes as well as to develop adaptation strategies in future climates.
