What is it about?

Exotic diseases are an increasing problem in forests worldwide. Many of them are caused by exotic oomycetes, an understudied microbial group. Here we show for the first time that soil-borne oomycete pathogens can play an important role shaping the magnitude and spatial structure of seedling establishment in invaded forests.
