What is it about?

Plant viruses use different strategies to infect host plants. We investigated the unique strategy employed by potyvirus to establish infection on host plant and the arm race between potyvirus and plant.

Why is it important?

This work unveils the actin cytoskeleton and plasm membrane nanodomain-associated molecular events underlying the cell-to-cell movement of potyviruses.

Perspectives

I hope this article can provoke the thinking about the structure of plasmodesmata and the organization of cortical actin filaments in the close proximity to or in the plasmodesmata, if there any.
