What is it about?

Plants contain large numbers of resistance genes that protect them against pathogens. We show how these resistance gene evolve within a wild tomato species. Subclasses of these resistance genes evolve with different speeds and even classes of which we thought that they would not evolve fast (be conserved), show strong evolutionary patterns.
