What is it about?
Leaves emit CO2 through the process of respiration, but it is more difficult to measure this process in the light when leaves also take up CO2 in photosynthesis. However, it is thought that light suppresses respiration. We found that two different methods for measuring leaf respiration in the light gave different estimates of the extent of light suppression of respiration as leaf temperature varied.
