What is it about?

Efficient N2 fixation requires phosphorus supply to the bacteroids in soybean. We show for the first time that GmPT7, a nodule-localized phosphorus transporter, is involved in direct Pi uptake by the nodules from the rhizosphere and further Pi translocation into the fixation zone.
