Facilitation from an intraspecific perspective – stress tolerance determines facilitative effect and response in plants

What is it about?

Competitive effect and response are widely viewed two aspects of competition, however, the effect and response in facilitative interactions remain unclear. Using salt-sensitive mutants and wildtypes of Arabidopsis thaliana, we show explicitly for the first time how genetically determined tolerance could affect the two aspects of facilitative interactions.
