What is it about?

Fungi that live inside plant leaves can affect their ability to tolerate drought. We show that more stress tolerant fungi improve host plant survival and fungi from warmer, drier habitats lead to larger plants. These simple relationships can help efforts to harness plant microbiomes as agricultural tools.
