What is it about?

Tip growth of a pollen tube exemplifies the simplest form of plant growth by plastic extension of the primary cell wall. In the absence of a general consensus we propose a new model that involves tip-localised AGPs and Ca2+ with Hechtian adhesions between plasma membrane and wall to form a novel Hechtian growth oscillator.
