What is it about?
Lakes can be found globally in nearly all environments. We review the latest approaches and methods for studying plant ancient DNA from lake sediments and show how these settings offer the best opportunity for studying ancient plant populations and in time will provide good taxonomic resolution and estimation of plant abundance.
