What is it about?
Seed size is an important variable in understanding plant ecology and differences in seed size may reflect many factors. We show that animal seed dispersal strongly affects seed size evolution in non-flowering seed plants, resulting in larger seeds and an association between certain seed sizes and specific types of fruit-like structures.
