What is it about?

The relationship between precipitation and above-ground productivity is considered to be linear in most terrestrial ecosystems. We highlight recent results that are inconsistent with a linear model and propose a new model to better predict productivity responses to future climates characterized by increased precipitation variability and more frequent extremes.
