The actin cytoskeletal network plays a role in yeast prion transmission and contributes to prion stability

What is it about?

It is well established that chaperone networks are required for the shearing and generation of transmissible propagons from pre-existing prion aggregates in yeast. We show that actin networks can influence the stability of a certain prion variant.
