What is it about?
Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular parasite. Its replicative cycle in the host requires intracellular growth and subsequent exit from the cell, followed by invasion of new cells. Here we have identified a T. gondii tyrosine transporter and suggest a functional connection to a kinase that is required for parasite exit from the host cell.
