What is it about?

E. coli BepA acts in the degradation and biogenesis of outer membrane proteins. We demonstrated that the TPR domain of BepA directly interacts with a substrate outer membrane protein and the β-barrel assembly machinery (BAM) complex, which is important for the BepA function.
