What is it about?
The importance of severe hyperpigmentation mainly affecting Askin skin with a darker color, especially in the climates where the skin is exposed to the intense sun for 12 hours, is underestimated. The products on the market do not always provide sufficient protective function for darker skin complexion or consider climatic conditions. Therefore, given the uniqueness of the aging signs and the high-intensity solar radiation that Asian skin is exposed to, it is important to select an appropriate preventative strategy for photoaging that complies with its needs. To this date, no clinical studies have yet been carried out to evaluate the anti-aging efficacy of a combination of grape seed extract with sunscreens on Asian skin.

Why is it important?
Although sunscreens are effective in preventing signs of photoaging, grape seed extract can provide additional protection through the broad spectrum of biological activities. We have found that a twice-daily application of sunscreen containing grape seed extract significantly improved skin elasticity and overall skin tone. The skin hydration was also improved and maintained for 5 hours. Moreover, sunscreen with grape seed extract, as acclaimed by participants, improved overall skin appearance.
