What is it about?

This essay explores ways in which natural theology can help theologians and philosophers to communicate their work beyond the boundaries of their specialist areas. It discusses the work of G.K.Chesterton as a case study in the use of natural theology to express theological ideas to non-religious readers, and argues that his work provides a valuable resource for contemporary philosophers and theologians.

Why is it important?

Natural theology may be able to exercise a mediating function, assisting in efforts to develop greater understanding across ideological, philosophical, theological, religious, and other differences.
